BOSTON — 450 guests attended Isenberg School of Management’s Hospitality and Tourism Management annual Dinner Awards Dinner, which was held at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. Isenberg School Dean Mark A. Fuller recognized CBS Sports Reporter Jenny Dell with the “2018 Outstanding Young Leader” award and Pyramid Hotel Group CEO Richard M. Kelleher with the Distinguished Industry Leader Award.
BOSTON — The Brain Aneurysm Foundation held its second annual Champion Awards event at the UMass Club in downtown Boston. Among those on hand for the event were Gov. Charlie Baker, former state Highway Administrator Tom Tinlin, who is a brain aneurysm survivor, and Bruins player Kevan Miller, who is serving as an ambassador for the Foundation. BRAINTREE — R.J. Valentine and F1 in Braintree hosted the annual Pinewood Derby championship for the Seven Rivers District Cub Scouts, part of the Boy Scouts of America. Scouts from all over the region gathered at F1 to race their Pinewood cars. All photos by Bill Brett
Hingham — The Hingham Historical Society honored historian David McCullough at a special event at the Hingham Heritage Museum at Old Derby Hingham that featured a conversation between McCullough and the attendees. NEWTON — 300 guests attended The Second Step‘s 26th anniversary “Celebrating Success” gala, which was held on March 28, 2018 at the Boston Marriott Newton hotel. The Second Step and Birch Tree Productions presents the premiere of the documentary play “No More Secrets,” which was curated by Scituate playwright and director Lisa Rafferty.
