LEXINGTON — The Inn at Hastings Park in Lexington hosted an event to support and celebrate Charley’s Fund, a Duchenne muscular dystrophy nonprofit with the mission of accelerating drug therapies and care for boys living with DMD.
A little over a year ago, Charley’s Fund opened the Duchenne Program at UMass Medical School in Worcester, which already sees more patients with DMD than any other clinic in the world. This month Charley’s Fund marks its 15th anniversary since inception and in that time has directed $45 million toward curing DMD and supporting families living with it.
Charley’s Fund was founded by Tracy and Benjy Seckler the parents of Charley Seckler, their son who has DMD. Charley is currently a freshman at New York University.
