5th annual Mad Love Music Festival draws more than 1,500 attendees

HINGHAM — More than 1,500 guests attended the 5th annual Mad Love Music Festival, which was held on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the South Shore Conservatory.

The 2019 Mad Love line up of incredible performers, included Toast, Quadrafunk, Dionysia, Dalton & the Sheriffs, Six Fox Whiskey, and The Aldous Collins Band. Featuring local musicians, food, craft beer and activities for the whole family, Mad Love Music Festival has turned into an ongoing, special tradition to raise funds to sponsor a scholarship for young rockers.

The Mad Love Music Festival was established in 2014 by the Jodka family after Dave Jodka, an incredible father and musician passed away from cancer at the age of 44. The Festival was founded to celebrate Dave’s life and create a legacy to share his love of music and inspire future generations of musicians through great Rock & Roll. The band, Toast, has been formed as a result of the scholarship which provides a coach and other professionals to truly help the students develop as a band and cover associated expenses for equipment, marketing and recording. The scholarship has enabled members of TOAST to pursue their love of rock music in a way that is not often experienced at the High School level and former band members have gone onto pursue their musical careers at schools including Berklee College of Music and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
