HULL — More than 150 intrepid swimmers took the plunge at Nantasket Beach on Saturday, February 1, 2020, as part of the 25th annual Drowned Hogs swim to benefit the Wellspring Multi-Service Center in Hull. HULL, March 24, 2019 — Hundreds of supporters of Special Olympics Massachusetts jumped into the ocean waters today off Nantasket Beach. Called the “Polar Plunge,” the event had been rescheduled from earlier in the year after bitter cold weather prompted officials from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation to have concerns about people being injured during the charity event. HULL — 250 people took a polar plunge on Feb. 24, 2018 at Nantasket Beach in Hull to support the programs of Special Olympics. It was bit warmer than the sub-zero temperatures for the annual L Street Brownies faced on Jan. 1 in Boston.
