A large crowd turned out on Sunday for a dedication of the Scituate Easter Rising monument, the only such monument in the United States. On hand for the dedication were Irish Consul General Laoise Moore; monument committee chair, attorney John Sullivan; singer Máirín Uí Chéide Keady; Scituate Select Board chair Karen B. SOUTH BOSTON — The now shuttered St. Vincent de Paul Church in South Boston could soon be put up for sale, sources say. The building is located at 363 E Street at the intersection of W. Third Street in South Boston. In 2018, neighbors worked to keep the building from being sold to a developer interested in making it housing. WEST ROXBURY — Even though he is recuperating from triple bypass surgery, West Roxbury “Lord Mayor” Richie Gormley is preparing for the annual Co. Roscommon banquet, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Irish Social Club of Boston. Music will be provided by Erin’s Melody.
