GLOUCESTER — More than a 1,000 people turned out on Saturday, December 28, 2019, for the eighth and final “Plunge for Pete” in honor of the late Pete Frates. The event coincided with what would have been Frates’ 35th birthday. Organizers said that 350 registered to take the plunge but some 400 actually jumped into the cold Atlantic Ocean waters.
