Hot Pink Party raises $1.7 million for Breast Cancer Research Foundation

BOSTON — More than 500 guests attended the annual Hot Pink Party, which raised $1.7 million for the the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

This year’s gala was held at the InterContinental Boston hotel and featured a performance at the disco-themed event by Nile Rodgers, the famed guitarist who has worked with Madonna, David Bowie, Daft Punk, Pharrell and others. Event planner extraordinaire Bryan Rafanelli made the event

Heather and Rob Shanahan were honored with the Carolyn Lynch Humanitarian Award for their philanthropy and support of quality-of-life programs for cancer patients and their families. The award is named for the late wife of former Fidelity money manager Peter Lynch, who attended the gala with their daughter Annie Lukowski.
