SEAPORT — More than 400 guests attended the 17th annual Adopt-A-Student Foundation’s gala to support scholarships for Cathedral High School students. More than $1.3 million was raised at the Oct. 18 event, which was held at the Seaport Hotel. Jazz community turns out for Paul Broadnax memorial service

CAMBRIDGE — The family and friends of local jazz great Paul Broadnax celebrated his life at a service at St. Paul AME church in Cambridge on Sept. 1. Paul died in August at the age of 92.
