BOSTON — More than 400 guests attended the Whittier Street Health Center’s annual Toast, the annual fundraising dinner that celebrated Boston Children’s Hospital CEO Dr. Kevin B. Churchwell. The event was held at Boston Park Plaza hotel.
The event’s title sponsor was Vertex Pharmaceuticals and the event raises “critical funds to support [the health center’s] programs and services. This flagship fundraiser celebrated Dr. Churchwell’s accomplishments in the field of pediatric health and Whittier Street Health Center’s mission to promote health equity and social justice,” according to a Whittier press release.
The emcee was Brittany Johnson, WCVB TV Investigative Reporter. The presenting sponsors were Boston Children’s Hospital, Eversource Energy, and Thermo Fisher Scientific. The lead sponsors were New England Development, Tom and Donna May, Bank of America, and Doug and Diana Berthiaume. The benefactors were Bob and Kathy Mahoney, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Liberty Mutual, Ropes & Gray, and CRISPR Therapeutics AG.
