Walker School raises $400,000 to support Needham school

SEAPORT — 350 guests attended the Needham-based Walker School’s 19th annual “Lives in Bloom” black tie gala, which was held on May 11, 2019 at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel in the Seaport District.

The event, which raised $400,000, honored Jennie Shaw, LICSW, as Outstanding Staff Member, and Paul Shorthose and family as Outstanding Community Partners. The evening’s emcee was Trenni Kusnierek of NBC Sports Boston.

The Lives in Bloom Gala benefits children facing significant emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges and highlights Walker’s work to further support children who do not have a permanent family to call their own.
