Trinity Catholic Academy raises more than $300,000 to support scholarships, programs

EASTON — 200 guests attended the Trinity Catholic Academy’s TCA Shields Award Dinner at which they honored the 2019 recipients of the Thomas F. and Mary J. Shields Award and the Senator Thomas P. Kennedy Legacy Award.

The dinner, which raised $300,000, was held on the campus of Stonehill College in Easton on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. Boston philanthropist Jack Connors was the evening’s host. Money raised helps pay tuition for students and support Catholic education.

The 2019 Thomas F. and Mary J. Shields Award honorees were the Academy’s Catholic College Partners:
accepting for Boston College: President Rev. William P. Leahy, SJ; accepting for Stonehill College: President Rev. John D. Denning, CSC; and accepting for Regis College: President Antoinette M. Hays, PhD, RN.

And the Senator Thomas P. Kennedy Legacy Award was given to Theresa and John Ballard.
