A large crowd turned out on Sunday for a dedication of the Scituate Easter Rising monument, the only such monument in the United States. On hand for the dedication were Irish Consul General Laoise Moore; monument committee chair, attorney John Sullivan; singer Máirín Uí Chéide Keady; Scituate Select Board chair Karen B. SCITUATE — More than 200 guests attended the performance of Jimmy Keys as part of a night to raise funds for Alice’s House. The event was held at The River Club in Scituate. Jimmy performed showtunes, comedy skits and impersonations, including Mick Jagger, Barry Manilow and Rod Stewart. SCITUATE — Some 500 guests attended the “Recovery Rocks — An Evening of Recovery” event in support of the South Shore Peer Recovery. The event, held outdoors at Bulman Marine in Scituate on August 22, 2019, raised $215,000. The night’s emcee was Jim Fagan, who welcomed two bands — The Danny Lynch Band and Border Road.
