COHASSET — 250 guests attended the preview gala for the kickoff weekend of the South Shore Arts Center’s 67th annual Arts Festival preview gala “Breathe Life,” which was held on Cohasset Common. The gala’s special guest was Rob “Problak” Gibbs, the artist behind some of Boston’s most iconic murals including the larger than life Breathe Life series commissioned by the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. FENWAY — 450 guests attended the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston’s annual gala, Big in Boston, which was held at the Museum of Fine Arts. Big Sisters provides mentors to girls in the Boston area. The organization gave its Believe in Girls award to C Space chairwoman Diane Hessan. BOSTON — 700 guests turned out on a Tuesday night sporting their best black-tie finery for the MLK Legacy event to celebrate the Boston legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King.
