HINGHAM — It was a packed house at the Hingham Heritage Museum when historian David McCullough hosted our own Bill Brett to celebrate the publication of Bill’s sixth book, “Boston: Game Changers.” The event was held on Sunday, December 8, 2019. STURBRIDGE — 400 guests attended the inaugural Joan M. McGrath Dinner and Lecture on Thursday, October 24 at Old Sturbridge Village. Ms. McGrath served on OSV’s Board of Trustees as well as chaired its Overseers. She was an active member of the community and model philanthropist. She passed unexpectedly a few years ago, and in her memory OSV hosted her idol, acclaimed historian and biographer, David McCullough, as the speaker. All photos by Bill Brett

STURBRIDGE — The 2018 Ken Burns Lifetime Achievement Award was given to “This Old House” host Norm Abram at a sold-out dinner at the Oliver Wight Tavern at Old Sturbridge Village. The award is given annually to “an individual who has made a significant impact on the arts through a project that is relevant to the history Old Sturbridge Village works to preserve.” This year’s award was given to master carpenter and author Norm Abram.…
