SOUTH BOSTON — 800 guests attended the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts’ Centennial Gala on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Darnell Williams, the League’s president and CEO, welcomed the guests who celebrated the League’s mission of helping people “overcome racial, social barriers, economic inequities, sexual and domestic violence to employment and economic development opportunities.” All photos by Bill Brett

DUXBURY — More than 500 guest celebrated under a large tent on Duxbury Beach on the evening of Saturday, September 7, 2019, to support the Duxbury Beach Reservation, Inc., and mark the centennial of a dozen or so Duxbury residents coming together to buy the beach so that it would be preserved for future generations. HULL — 200 guests attended Sunset Point Camp’s centennial celebration that was held on June 22, 2019, at the Camp in Hull. Don Rodman was the event’s chairman.
