BOSTON — More than 300 guests attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management at the Isenberg School of Management’s annual Awards Dinner, which was held recently at the Boston Park Plaza hotel. Randolph — The Randolph High School gymnasium was dedicated in the memory Dennis “DJ” Simmonds, a Boston Police Department patrolman who suffered a serious concussive head injury caused by a homemade bomb while pursuing the Boston Marathon bombers in Watertown in 2013. SOUTH BOSTON — More than $350,000 was raised at the Lovin’ Spoonfuls Ultimate Tailgate 2017, which was held at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal. The money raised will be used to allow for the “rescue and distribution of healthy, fresh food that would otherwise be discarded.” According to its mission statement, Lovin’ Spoonfuls works “to efficiently deliver this food directly to the community organizations and resources where it can have the greatest impact.” At the…
