DORCHESTER — 450 guests attended The Co. Sligo Association of Boston’s 11th annual St Patrick’s banquet, which was held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Florian Hall in Dorchester. The traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner gathering also recognizes a member of the community. This year’s honoree was Raymond “Ray” McVeigh.
The event was emcee’d by Jim Brett, with entertainment provided by the Andy Healy Band and the Heavey-Quinn Academy of Irish Dance.
Proceeds from the raffle will be used to support a new center being built in Cork, Ireland for Irish children with disabilities.
