HARVARD SQUARE — We’re re-running Bill’s photos, taken in 2019 in the last days of Out of Town News in the center of Harvard Square. It was then run by Hudson News, after many years of leadership by the Cohen family.
After years of delays and work on the plaza and the so-called “pit,” the kiosk reopened on May 30 with a bit of splash.
The site is currently paying homage to its roots in journalism with a display from the Boston Institute for Nonprofit Journalism (BINJ).
The ribbon cutting for the reopening was covered by local TV stations, including WCVB. You can view the report here.
