Mayor’s Rose Garden Party a huge success, despite the rain

BACK BAY FENS — 500 of Boston’s best dressed guests braved the teeming rain to attend Mayor Marty Walsh’s annual party held in a tent at the Kelleher Rose Garden, part of Olmsted’s Emerald Necklace, in the Back Bay Fens. The attendees were able to grab a few photos in between the raindrops.

The 23rd annual Rose Garden Party was hosted by Mayor Walsh and his partner, Ms. Lorrie Higgins. The Tuesday, June 18, 2019, event raises money so the city can continue to provide free family arts, cultural, fitness and science programming year-round throughout the City of Boston’s parks.
