SOUTH BOSTON — Running with heart and embracing the challenge: 150 family members and friends enjoyed an afternoon of food, raffles, specialty cocktails and most of all fun at LOCO in South Boston in support of Julia Scannell’s Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester marathon journey. Julia arrived at the event ready to engage in the fun after running 14 miles in the morning as part of her training routine. She took a moment to thank all who attended and donated, sharing her excitement to be part of the team of 15 runners, raising funds and awareness of the good work of Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester through the Bank of America Boston Marathon® Official Charity Program.
