Funeral held for Boston Fire Lt. Ed Paris

HOLBROOK — Hundreds gathered to pay their final respects to Edward J. Paris Jr. of Holbrook, formerly of Hyde Park, who died due to occupational cancer on Oct. 29, 2018, at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. He was 64.

Ed worked as a Boston Fire Lieutenant on Engine 18. He was a member of Boston Firefighters Union Local 718, as well as the Pension and Welfare Officer, and member of the Death and Welfare Board. He was on the board of directors for the Boston Firefighters Credit Union since 2004, and was the treasurer of the Boston Firefighters Credit Union. He also served on the Board of the National Council of Firefighters Credit Unions.

He was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School, Class of 1972.
