Friendship party for Tommy Hally helps family with health issue

DORCHESTER — More than 800 people stopped by Florian Hall in Dorchester during the Friendship Party for Tommy Hall to support the South Boston resident who is facing a health challenge. Among those in attendance at the party on Friday, September 13, 2019, were Boston city councilors Mike Flaherty and Ed Flynn, and Quincy Mayor Tom Koch.

According to “Caught in Southie”: Tommy is suffering from Stage 4 Sarcoidosis – an inflammatory disease that affects his lungs. He is unable to work and requires an oxygen tank to help his breathing. Tommy is a candidate for a lung transplant but has a long road ahead.
