DORCHESTER — 325 guests attended the inaugural Edward M. Kennedy Institute Award for Inspired Leadership, which honored Jack Connors Jr. The event was held at the Institute on Columbia Point in Dorchester on Oct. 4, 2018. It raised more than $1.3 million. Among those in attendance were: Institute President Dr. Mary Grant; Co-Chair Dr. Laurie Glimcher, M.D., President and CEO, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; Jim Karam, Chair of the Institute’s Board of Directors; Dr. Paula Johnson, M.D., M.P.H., Wellesley College; Boston Mayor Marty Walsh; Co-Chair Dr. Jeff Leiden, M.D., Ph.D., Chairman, President, and CEO, Vertex Pharmaceuticals; Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker; Ted Kennedy, Jr.; and Victoria Reggie Kennedy.
