QUINCY — More than 200 guests attended the Children’s Well-Being Foundation’s fall fundraiser and concert, which was held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Sons of Italy hall in Quincy.
Founded in 2004 by Boston Orthopaedic surgeon Dr. George Whitelaw, the organization provides free medical care to children in Costa Rica. Chairman of the board Steven Brown of Hingham and Dr. Whitelaw addressed the crowd and shared medical histories of children that money raised will help when they return to Costa Rica.
The Executive Director of CWBF Jean Carlos who came from Costa Rica to attended the event also gave an update on their new mobile clinic that allows Dr. Whitelaw and his team travel into rural mountain locations to provide life saving medical care.
