HANOVER — More than 125 people surprised long time South Shore resident and philanthropists Colleen ”CoCo” Shields. The surprise event was held at Albas on Route 53 in Hanover. SQUANTUM — The city of Quincy and military supporters gathered at the intersection of E. Squantum Street at Parke Avenue to dedicate the square in the memory of Lance Corporal Christopher Donahue (USMC), who was killed in action on May 19, 1969 in Da Nang, Vietnam. QUINCY — Big hats, bow ties, and bourbon was the fundraising theme at the Quincy Rotary’s Kentucky Derby party. The sold-out fundraiser was held at the Neighborhood Club in Quincy. Money raised is directed back to the local community to support educational scholarships to Quincy’s high school seniors.
