BOSTON — More than 300 guests attended the Hot Stove meeting at the Hotel Commonwealth that served as the perfect venue to celebrate baseball writer Peter Gammons on the occasion of his 80th birthday. At the event were Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessey, rocker Kay Hanley, former Yankees all-star Bernie Williams, Red Sox honcho Sam Kennedy and his parents, Rev. Tom and Joanna Kennedy, Red Sox faithful Gary and Lynne Smith, and Allyce Najimy and Paul Epstein from the Foundation to Be Named Later.
