QUINCY — More than 150 people joined Jamie Fagan and his family to support the Massachusetts Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at Alba restaurant in Quincy. The event raised over $10,000 for continued research. Jamie was the 2017 LLS man of the year and now serves on the board of directors.He organized the event to support his mother, Janice, and other patients with Leukemia and Lymphoma. SOUTH BOSTON — 800 guests attended the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts’ Centennial Gala on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Darnell Williams, the League’s president and CEO, welcomed the guests who celebrated the League’s mission of helping people “overcome racial, social barriers, economic inequities, sexual and domestic violence to employment and economic development opportunities.” All photos by Bill Brett

BOSTON — So many golfers took to the Devine golf course in Boston that they needed the Braintree Municipal Golf Course to accommodate all those participating in the first Tinlin Family Golf Tournament “18 for 18” to raise money for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
