Quincy dedicates square in honor of fallen Marine Lance Corporal

SQUANTUM — The city of Quincy and military supporters gathered at the intersection of E. Squantum Street at Parke Avenue to dedicate the square in the memory of Lance Corporal Christopher Donahue (USMC), who was killed in action on May 19, 1969 in Da Nang, Vietnam.

Among those on hand for the dedication were members of Donahue’s family, along with Mayor Tom Koch, retired General Joe Dunford (USMC), and singer, Mass. State Police Sergeant Dan Clark (ret.).
