CAMBRIDGE — The Cambridge Police Department held a ceremony recently to mark the promotion of Pauline Wells to Deputy Superintendent. Wells, whose daughter Molly assisted in the promotion ceremony, also is a singer, who donates her time to help numerous causes, including the Mary Ann Brett Food Pantry in Dorchester.
Wells and her husband, Richard Wells, the former chief of police in Milton, who is now an elected member of that town’s Board of Selectmen, were featured in Bill Brett’s fifth book, “Boston: Irish.”
Congratulations to Pauline on her new assignment!
