Eire Society of Boston honors Globe columnist Kevin Cullen

SEAPORT — More than 150 guests attended the Eire Society of Boston’s 86th anniversary Gold Medal Dinner at which the Society honored Boston Globe columnist Kevin Cullen.

Cullen is the former Dublin bureau chief covering Northern Ireland, for more than 25 years, and was the only full-time reporter for an American newspaper based in Ireland during the peace process that culminated the Good Friday Agreement.

The dinner, which was held at the Seaport Hotel, was emceed by Tom Tinlin, with music provided by Leo Stapleton, Pauline Wells, Sean Smith, and Ellery Klein.
