BOSTON — More than 450 guests attended the 2022 Honors gala to celebrate the new Boston Arts Academy, raising $2.3 million to support Boston’s only visual and performing arts school. Located on Ispwich Street in the shadow of Fenway Park, the Academy is now operating in a state-of-the-art building that took nearly two years to complete. The gala’s honored guests included: Lee Pelton, president and CEO of the Boston Foundation; Lee Kennedy, resident and CEO Lee Kennedy Company, the school project’s general contractor; dancer Michaela Mabinty Deprince, second soloist, Boston Ballet; fashion designer Kobi Halperin; three-time Grammy Award-winning percusionist Terri Lyne Carrington; award winning anchor NBC10 Latoyia Edwards; and Bryan Rafanelli, founder of Rafanelli Events.
