NORWELL — The Acadmey of The Company Theatre recently presented a production of “Puffs,” a comic retelling of the Harry Potter book series by J. K. Rowling, but from the perspective of the “Puffs.” (The play, which ran Off-Broadway in 2015, is not officially sactioned by Rowling, her publishers or the filmmakers.)
But in Norwell, it was a romp of a production that was directed by Corey Cadigan with costume designs by John Crampton, lighting design by Dean Palmer Jr., and set and prop design by Ryan Barrow. The show’s book and sound design are by Matt Cox with original music composed by Brian Hoes.
This “Puffs” production featured a slate of young, local actors including Brianna Casey, Alex Norton, Sean Lally, Morgan Hurley, Will Moon, Anastasia Ferrara, James Keyes, Annie Dunn, Hana Bowker-Wickersham, Max Ripley, and Marissa Tolini.
