10th annual “The Mike” Golf Tourney raises $87,000 for New England Center for Children

KINGSTON — 140 golfers participated in the 10th annual “The Mike” golf tournament on August 27, 2018 at the Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, which raised $87,000 for the New England Center for Children in Southborough to support autism education and research.

The tournament was founded by Michael and Lori McKenna of Norwell in honor of their son Mike, who was diagnosed with autism as a baby. Over the 10 years, the tournament has raised a total of $625,000. All proceeds support the NECC Annual Fund, which provides resources to fund research on early intensive behavioral instruction.
